The inaugural season for the Philadelphia Wings, one of the National Lacrosse League’s newest franchises, begins Saturday.
If you aren’t able to make the 1 p.m. season opener against the Buffalo Bandits at Wells Fargo Center, you’re in luck: PHL 17 will broadcast 12 of the Wings' 18 games this season.
All nine home games will be available on PHL17, as well as three road games: at Rochester on Dec. 29, at Toronto on Jan. 4 and at Buffalo on Jan. 19.
Through the partnership, the Wings and PHL17 are hoping to grow the game of lacrosse.
“Having Wings games air on a local station in the market is critical to our mission of growing the sport of lacrosse in the Greater Philadelphia Area” said Lindsey Masciangelo, the Wings' vice president of business operations, in a press release. “We are excited to work with PHL17 to bring first-class entertainment to our fans.”
In March, the NLL announced Turner’s Bleacher Report Live would stream live and on-demand all NLL games through the season.
