Twilight in the Gardens

(Performance) Grab a blanket, a bottle of wine, and your favorite snacks and get ready for a night in the garden. Pictures in the Park: ‘Cruella’

(Movies) The big screen is up at Dilworth Park and this week, you can catch a screening of the 2021 film Cruella. Your favorite movie snacks, plus beer, wine, and cocktails, will be available at the Air Grill Beer Garden. BYO chair or blanket, and get there early for free popcorn while supplies last. Dom Irrera Comedy Show

AAMP in the Square

(Community) Bring the entire family to this free, kid-friendly outdoor series. Students, teachers, and leaders from the Philadelphia Writing Project share poems and essays focused on African American women in Philadelphia. Philly Queer Flea

Indigo Dye at BokBar

(Art) Local artist Maya Shengold will help you tap your inner creative to make a one-of-a-kind dyed garment. Bring one to three items you’d love to dye, from pillowcases to dresses, and Shengold will provide hands-on, step-by-step instructions. Ben to the Shore Bike Tour

(Community) This ride takes bikeadelphia to a whole new level. Ben to the Shore is a charity bike ride raising money for local families of first responders with a ride across the Ben Franklin Bridge to Atlantic City. Bike the full 65 miles from Philadelphia or take a lighter 30-mile ride by starting in Hammonton, N.J. If you aren’t a cyclist, you can participate in the race virtually and still raise funds for families. ($50, July 24, fbbcf.org)

(Festival) Nothing beats a summer day filled with food trucks, games, art, and music. The whole family can come dance, eat, and enjoy a day of fun. You can enjoy food from Taqueria Dos Hermanos, John’s Water Ice, and Dunkin’. At the end of the night, Philly’s favorite band Snacktime will perform a live set. Martha Graham Cracker

(Music) Philly’s favorite Queen Martha Graham Cracker is back with a full cabaret lineup. Come out for a night of music and drinks with guest vocalist PJ Brown and Ernest Stuart on trombone. ‘The Taming!’

(Theater) Shakespeare in Clark Park is back with an untamable two-act comedy. In The Taming!, the cast takes on the Shakespeare classic The Taming of the Shrew and then turns it on its head in the second act, exploring John Fletcher’s The Tamer Tamed. These two plays together are bound to make for an amazing night of theater. In the event of rain, the show will go on at the Prince Theater.
