Mütter Museum overhauls policies on human remains to meet modern ethical standards

Following more than two years of controversy, the Mütter Museum adopted a new policy regarding the human remains in its collection. Instead of focusing only on the specimen and the medical condition it represents, the museum will now update its displays and online information to reflect a more holistic approach to acknowledging the individual whose remains are on display.
