Justus Rivera, 24, from North Philly, brought his violin and musical talent to the Walmart parking lot in Port Richmond on October 28, 2020, the morning after civil unrest in the city over the fatal police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr. The shooting touched off waves of protests, with demonstrators taking to the streets and some people breaking into stores and stealing merchandise in West Philadelphia and Port Richmond. Break-ins and property damage in Port Richmond weren’t directly connected to protests in West Philadelphia.
