Although she has never been on Broadway, Pink will host the 2026 Tony Awards
The Doylestown native, whose songs appear in two current Broadway shows, said she had to ask her daughter for "permission" before saying yes to host the awards show.

Acrobatic pop star Pink will bounce around a new kind of stage this year to host the 2026 Tony Awards.
Tony Awards Productions announced Thursday that the Doylestown native will celebrate the best of Broadway at the ceremony on Sunday, June 7 at Radio City Music Hall.
“Broadway has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together — it is a community that is supportive, and inclusive, and full of talent and love,” the singer said in a statement.
The Grammy-winning singer who was recently nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hasn’t appeared on Broadway, but her songs are featured in two current productions: “Raise Your Glass” in Moulin Rouge! The Musical and “F**kin’ Perfect” in the Shakespeare-inspired & Juliet.
“When I was asked to host the Tonys, I immediately thought, ‘I have to get permission from my daughter.’ I’ve never been on Broadway, and shouldn’t you have to have been on Broadway in order to host? That seems fair and right,” said Pink of her 14-year-old, Willow Sage Hart, a budding theater artist. “But when I asked my daughter, she was really excited about being able to have a ticket to go to the Tonys, so I’m hosting the Tonys and I’m really, really, excited and very nervous because that girl is a tough crowd!”

As this year’s emcee, Pink will follow recent musical theater hosts Cynthia Erivo and Ariana DeBose. An energetic performer, she will likely bring some of her aerial acrobatics and thrilling theatrics to the stage.
“We are thrilled to welcome the incomparable P!NK as the host of this year’s Tony Awards — a fearless artist whose powerhouse voice, electrifying stage presence, and undeniable authenticity embody the very spirit of live performance and theatre,” said 2026 Tony Award executive producers Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall, and Jack Sussman in a joint statement.
Pink’s appearance comes after 2023’s record-breaking “Summer Carnival Tour,” which was the second highest-grossing tour ever by a female artist. She made two hometown stops at Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park.
The Tony Awards will broadcast live on CBS and stream online on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. on June 7.
