Introducing: 'The Fresh Turkey of West Philly'
Nothing goes better with a story about a wild turkey on the loose in West Philly than a parody video about said turkey done to the tune of "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
Nothing goes better as a side to a story about a wild turkey on the loose in West Philly than a parody video about said turkey done to the tune of "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
Here's Stephanie "Scoop Dogg" Farr's video. Lyrics are below. Sing along.
"The Fresh Turkey of West Philly"
Now this is a story all about how
One turkey's life got flipped turned upside down.
I'd like some time, it'll just take a minute, really
I'll tell you how he became the Fresh Turkey of West Philly.
//
In West Philadelphia born and raised
At Bartram's Garden is where he spent most of his days.
Pecking, gobbling, relaxing all cool
Picking up some bird seed outside of the pool.
When his big ol' brother, who was up to no good
Started making trouble in their neighborhood.
They got in one little fight and this turkey got scared
And said "I'm moving to West Philly I hope the hood is prepared."
//
The turkey gobbled for a cab but when none came near,
He took off on foot, determined to persevere.
If anything I could say that this bird was whack,
But I thought nah, forget it, my homes will bounce back.
//
He strolled up to some houses at Regent and 45th
And his mere presence started an urban myth.
He looked at his kingdom and realized it was all so silly
That he'd finally become the Fresh Turkey of West Philly.
