The Pennsylvania Conference for Women kicks off on Oct. 1 with its annual workplace summit, this time starring soccer Hall of Famer Abby Wambach.

The conference takes place Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Convention Center in Center City. To register or learn more about the event, visit the website www.paconferenceforwomen.org.

Other speakers this year will include Eat Pray Love author Elizabeth Gilbert, the founders of the website TheSkimm.com; and Jesmyn Ward, two-time National Book Award winner.

Last year’s headline speaker was Amal Clooney, and the year prior the headliner was former first lady Michelle Obama.

Wambach speaks Tuesday afternoon with a talk titled “New Rules to Navigate the Workplace in a Post #MeToo Era.”

An activist for equality and inclusion, a best-selling author, and a two-time Olympic gold medalist, Wambach will address the #MeToo movement and how cultural norms and workplace policies are evolving.

For those who can’t attend in person, this year the Pennsylvania Conference for Women offers Livestream Tickets for video of keynote and select breakout sessions in real time. Livestream tickets are $50 each and good for one device.
