Former Black Eyed Peas vocalist Fergie was in Philly last week, and, naturally, she had to pay a visit to Fergie’s Pub in Center City.

The particularly meta visit went down Friday, when the singer stopped into the Sansom Street bar with her dad, Jon Patrick Ferguson, according to an Instagram post from Fergie’s Pub. In the post, the pair can be seen holding up some of the bar’s merchandise featuring the singer’s name, which she shares with eponymous co-owner Fergus “Fergie” Carey.

Carey, who is also behind legendary Philly bars Monk’s Cafe and The Belgian Cafe, was not present for the visit, according to a later Instagram post from Fergie’s Pub. Judging by his photo, he was not too pleased by that turn of events.

Fergie — the singer, not the publican — appears to have been in town for this year’s Philadelphia Magazine Wine Festival, which was held at Lincoln Financial Field this past Thursday. The “Big Girls Don’t Cry” hitmaker was a guest at the event, where she promoted her family’s winery, Ferguson Crest, with a signing of bottles of Fergalicious, her own red wine blend.

No word on what Fergie and her dad ordered during their visit to Fergie’s Pub, but if she was staying with the name theme, there are a couple of very Irish possibilities. Fergie’s Angus Burger, for example, comes with Irish whiskey shallot aioli and Guinness onions, while Fergie’s Fish & Chips features Yards Philly Pale Ale-battered Atlantic Cod.

“Now you just need some of our wine,” Ferguson Wine’s official Instagram account noted on Fergie’s Pub’s original post.
