Wynter leads Drexel with 17 points in 78-71 win over James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Camren Wynter scored seven of his 17 points from the free throw line in the final 30 seconds to help Drexel beat James Madison, 78-71, on Saturday.

Wynter hit a jumper to give the Dragons a four-point lead with 1 minute, 9 seconds left, then knocked down 7-of-8 from the line to close out the victory and earn himself a double-double after grabbing 10 rebounds. He was 8-for-10 from the line while dishing out seven assists and blocking three shots.

Junior forward James Butler added 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Dragons.

Mate Okros had 12 points for Drexel (10-8, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Conference). Matey Juric added 11.

Matt Lewis had 24 points for the Dukes (8-9, 1-5), and Darius Banks added 13. Michael Christmas had 12 points.

Drexel plays Elon at home on Thursday.
