Former Northeast High football star Tyrece Mills makes oral commitment to Penn State
The 6-foot, 205-pound Mills just completed his freshman season at Lackawanna Community College in Scranton.
Safety Tyrece Mills, a former Northeast High School football star who just completed his freshman season at Lackawanna Community College in Scranton, announced Wednesday on Twitter that he has made an oral commitment to Penn State’s recruiting class of 2022.
The 6-foot, 205-pound Mills, of Philadelphia, is the 10th commitment to the Nittany Lions’ 2022 class. He will become the third safety who played at Lackawanna to wear a Lions uniform. Fifth-year senior Jaquan Brisker and redshirt junior Ji’Ayir Brown are currently on the Penn State roster.
In a statement on Twitter, Mills called his advancement from Northeast to Lackawanna to Penn State “a long, hard-fought journey trying to stay out of the way in the city to make it to this point,” and added he was “1000% committed” to the Nittany Lions.
