AOH honors John McNesby and Jim Murray

The Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 40 William V. Kephart Sr. Division honored John McNesby and Jim Murray on Friday night.

The annual Day of the Rope awards dinner took place at Bridgemen's Hall, at 11600 Norcom Road.

McNesby, president of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, was recognized as the Irish-American Labor Leader of the Year.

Murray earned the Lifetime Leadership Award. He is a longtime math teacher at St. Joseph's Prep and has served as soccer coach and athletic director since 1971. The Hawks won the Catholic League and city championships last season.
