Two people were killed and three others were wounded in a shooting Monday night in West Philadelphia, police said.
The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. on the 300 block of South 60th Street near Delancey Street, police said.
Some of the victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, police said.
Police did not provide conditions for the three wounded victims.
Police said they were looking for a white Mercedes Benz in connection with the shooting.
No arrests were reported.
So far this year, the number of homicides counted in Philadelphia has been substantially lower than the same period last year.
As of early Monday — before the quintuple shooting — there were 21 homicides reported in the city, compared to 50 for the same time last year, according to police department statistics.
The city ended 2025 with 222 homicides — the lowest total since 1966.
And the drop in deadly violence last year into this year has been in stark contrast to the toll in 2021, when the Philadelphia had 120 homicides as of Mar. 30 and ended the year with 562 — the worst year on record.
