2026 NFL schedule: Eagles games, Netflix adds more, and everything else to know
So far, we know one Birds game – Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys.

With 17 weeks until the start of the 2026 NFL season, the league will release its full 2026 schedule Thursday at 8 p.m.
If the past is any indicator, Birds fans will know a large chunk of the schedule earlier. Then all of Philly can get back to debating when the Eagles will trade A.J. Brown.
So far, just one Birds game has officially been announced, and it’s a big one:
Week 12, Thursday, Nov. 26: Eagles at Cowboys (Fox)
The Thanksgiving matchup is notable for a number of reasons, including the possibility it could end up the most-watched regular-season NFL game in history, topping the 57.23 million viewers who tuned in to watch Cowboys vs. the Kansas City Chiefs last year.
Outside of that, we don’t know much about the Eagles 2026 schedule … yet.
Here’s everything you need to know about the release of the 2026 NFL schedule:

What’s new about this year’s NFL schedule?
So much for the death of broadcast television.
In an era where more and more games are going behind a streaming paywall, the NFL carved out new national games for NBC, CBS, and Fox this season.
The games are leftover from ESPN’s failed experiment with Monday Night Football’s overlapping doubleheaders, which the network was forced to give up after acquiring the NFL Network.
NBC’s new game will be a Week 17 Saturday night special that will air at 4:30 p.m. Philly time on Jan. 2.
CBS gets a Saturday night game in Week 15, which will air Dec. 19 at 8 p.m.
Fox landed the league’s Munich game in Week 10, creating a rare “triple-header” of games airing all day that Sunday. It also landed the earlier Saturday game in Week 15, though the network didn’t announce the start time.
Last year, there were no Saturday games in Week 15 due to a federal rule intended to protect college sports by banning the NFL from scheduling Saturday games through the second week in December. That’s not the case this season, since Week 15 falls on the third Saturday of the month.
NFL triples-down on Christmas
At one point, the NFL was reluctant to schedule games on Christmas when the holiday didn’t fall on days the league normally played.
So much for that.
This year, the NFL will celebrate Christmas on a Friday with three games — two on Netflix, and a third evening game on Fox.
It’s just the third time since 1989 the NFL has scheduled Friday Christmas games — San Diego Chargers vs. Tennessee Titans in 2009 and New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, which drew over 20 million viewers and shifted the league’s mindset about the holiday.
As a result, the NFL expanded its Christmas offering to two games in 2021 and three in 2022, 2023, 2025, and this season. Last year, Netflix averaged 27.5 million viewers for its Vikings-Lions Christmas game, the most-streamed NFL game in history.
New Thanksgiving game for Netflix, while YouTube balked
Speaking of Netflix, it looks like the streamer will pick up a few extra national games this season outside of Christmas.
The NFL’s first-ever game played in Australia, a Week 1 matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, will stream exclusively on Netflix Thursday, Sept. 10.
Netflix will also reportedly get two additional games from the package ESPN was forced to give up, including a new Thanksgiving Eve game, according to Puck’s John Ourand.
That means seven days of football across a nine-day span surrounding Thanksgiving, testing the endurance of even the league’s most die-hard fans.
Peacock, NBC’s subscription streaming service, will offer one exclusive NFL game this season — a Saturday night matchup in Week 17.
The odd streamer out? YouTube.
Originally considered the front-runner to land all of ESPN’s discarded games, it’s looking likely YouTube will enter the season without any NFL games to stream. YouTube “balked” at the idea of splitting a package of games with Netflix, according to Puck.
Which teams will the Eagles play in 2026?
While we won’t know all the dates until Thursday night, we do know all the Eagles’ opponents.
In addition to facing their NFC East opponents — Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders — here’s a rundown of the teams the Eagles will play:
Eagles home games: Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks,
Eagles away games: Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans
