Task superfans, make some room in that Pod in your driveway. You, too, can own some screen-used clothing or furniture from the hit HBO show.

And all at thrift-store pricing, too.

Drexel Hill-based shop Thrift & Thrive, formerly known as Nana’s Attic, on Wednesday announced the arrival of a slew of Task-used furniture and clothing straight from HBO. The merchandise, store manager Janice Tinari said, arrived earlier in the day Wednesday, and will be put out for sale throughout the week.

“It was a big box truck that pulled up,” Tinari said. “They just kept bringing stuff out. I was like, ‘This truck is as big as my store.’”

Not literally, of course. But there is plenty of Task merch available. Items include tables, chairs, dressers, desks, and other screen-used furniture, as well as clothing worn by characters on the show with logos ranging from the Eagles and Flyers to Hersheypark, Tinari said.

But what characters owned the furniture in the show, and who wore the clothes? Tinari said she wasn’t sure — she had not yet watched Task. But now that the store has merch from the show, she said, she’ll study up soon.

“I don’t watch TV, I don’t know about it,” Tinari said. “I have the merchandise now, so I will watch it.”

For the uninitiated, HBO’s Task brought Delaware County into the spotlight last year with a seven-episode first season that showcased the story of FBI agent Tom Brandis, played by star Mark Ruffalo, who leads a task force to catch masked thieves led by trash collector Robbie Pendergrast (played by Tom Pelphrey) stealing from drug houses across Delaware and Montgomery Counties.

The show, created by Brad Ingelsby, filmed around Philadelphia and throughout Pennsylvania. It is also something of a follow-up to the hit Delco-set HBO drama Mare of Easttown, though the two shows are not directly related.

Incidentally, this round of merch isn’t the first drop of screen-used furniture and clothing Thrift & Thrive has had for sale, Tinari said. The store has previously gotten screen-used items from locally filmed productions including Mare of Easttown and Hustle. That’s thanks to a relationship the store has with Sun Center Studios in Aston, which as been involved with all three projects.

“It’s an unbelievable relationship,” Tinari said. “We’re a nonprofit. Every donation counts.”

As a shop, Thrift & Thrive is an extension of the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, a long-running provider for services to victims of domestic abuse. Sales from Thrift & Thrive, the store noted in a social media post in a Delaware County-focused Facebook group, will benefit that organization.
