Here are 10 fun and worthwhile sites for vegan "TV" of one kind or another. Some shows are web-only, others are on TV in some places and not in others, but some are also available on DVD all should have at least a healthy taste available at the sites listed.

* Save the Kales
Jaime Karpovich brings a fresh Lehigh-Valley vibe to plant-based eating, offering both food prep segments and healthy-food community interviews to spread the word about healthy, animal-free living


* Vegan Mashup
PBS stations Vegan star Terry Hope Romero ("Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World," "Veganomicon" both with Isa Moskowitz), along with Miyoko Schinner and Toni Fiore in the latest offering from Delicious TV


* Christina
Christin Pirello, who pioneered veggie TV back in the 20th century with 'Christina Cooks,' has a new show in which she does all sorts of things, and it airs on over 200 PBS stations nationwide, including WHYY (Saturdays at 2:30 p.m.)


* What Would Julieanna Do?

Whole-foods advocate and registered dietician Julieanna Hever's "lifestyle talk show" also launched this year as part of Veria Living.


* VegTV
An early adopter of the medium, Marie Oser has compiled over 100 episodes of her veg-oriented cooking-and-chatting show.


* The Jazzy Vegetarian
Laura Theodore, a jazz vocalist, walks viewers through the making of healthy, earth-friendly dishes


* Vegan Black Metal Chef
Vegan recipes and cooking tips are sung along to original black-metal music. With subtitles! A memorable way to present some good info.


* Nutrtion Facts
Dr. Michael Greger (who also put out a great vegan-cooking DVD) releases a short Greger-narrated video every day on the latest scientific studies and trends related to healthy and/or plant-based nutrition.

New animated series promoting plant-based eating, so far web-only


* PhillyCAM
Philly's public-access channel has featured some healthy cooking and plant-based shows, but what about yours? The site will tell you how to get involved and when the next member meeting is.
