Florence + the Machine Show at Xfinity Mobile Arena moved to Atlantic City after conflict with Flyers playoff game
Florence Welch might have beef with Philly sports teams at this rate.

The April 25 Florence + the Machine concert will move from Xfinity Mobile Arena to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City to avoid a conflict with a Flyers game scheduled for the same evening.
The indie group was slated to perform at Xfinity Mobile that Saturday at 7:30 p.m. as a stop on their Everybody Scream Tour, but, when the NHL released its full first-round playoff schedule this week, the Flyers were slotted to play Game 4 on the same Saturday at Xfinity Mobile Arena at 8 p.m.
Ticketholders will be refunded. Those who bought tickets and are willing to transition to the new venue will have a 24 hour window to buy new tickets for the show at the new venue before they go on sale to the general public and April 21.
“We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause,” Florence + the Machine wrote on social media about the changeup Friday afternoon. “Unfortunately this decision is beyond our control and after exploring many alternative scenarios, this became the only workable solution that would allow us to not cancel the show. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.”

It’s not the first time something like this has happened. Notably, it’s not even the first time something like this has happened between Florence + The Machine and a Philadelphia sports team this month.
The band’s concert at TD Garden in Boston was originally set for this Sunday. But it’s been rescheduled to the next day to accommodate the Sixers’ matchup against the Celtics for their first-round playoff battle, according to the venue.
As far as previous examples: In 2014, Bad Bunny’s concert proceeded as scheduled after the Sixers won a play-in game. But there was a temporary chance the concert was going to happen a day earlier if needed.
A Flyers playoff game in 2014 did force Miley Cyrus to move her Philly BANGERZ tour stop up one day.
Xfinity Mobile Arena is built to support quick transitions between hockey games, basketball games, and concerts. The changeover from ice rink to basketball court takes three hours.

But concert arena tours, like Florence + The Machine’s Everybody Scream Tour, are often more elaborate and typically take at least a day for load-in and setup.
The Everybody Scream Tour launched in Northern Ireland in February and starts in the United States on Saturday in D.C.
Pitchfork named it one of the most anticipated tours of 2026. Of course, Flyers fans have eagerly anticipated a playoff run, too. It’s been six years since the team last made it into second season.
