Meet Sheila Lee, the woman behind a North Philly church's annual fish fry | Let's Eat, Philly!

A longtime annual tradition at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church brings a community together with its fish fry fundraiser organized by Sheila Lee and the hospitality club. Friday fish fries are a Lenten tradition for many, especially further west, in Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Milwaukee. And some Philadelphia communities, both church-based and not, celebrate them like clockwork. Because of the pandemic, St. Martin’s is only holding two fish fries where the fish is cooked right on the spot.
