Winter will make a return Tuesday night, but a white Christmas does not appear to be in the picture.

After a weekend of unseasonably warm temperatures and rain for most of Monday, the mercury will start falling Monday night in advance of a cold front with a low of 33 predicted overnight.

On Tuesday, a high of 44 is forecast with a slight chance of rain in the afternoon possibly mixing with snow after nightfall. But skies will clear, with a low of around 25 expected during the night.

On Christmas Day, it is supposed to be mostly sunny with a winter-like high of 33.
