Baseball cards and live sports both experienced a resurgence during the pandemic as fans rediscovered their old hobby and tuned in to watch games from home when in-person events were not possible. Kevin Negandhi, anchor of ESPN’s SportsCenter and a Temple University alumnus, is passionate about all things sports and card-collecting — he even has his own Topps trading card.

Inquirer sports writer Matt Breen talked with Negandhi about collectors’ rekindled love of baseball cards, his dream job at ESPN, and the Philly sports scene.
