The COVID-19 angel brings winged joy to vaccine recipients

In her job with Pritchard Industries, an industrial cleaning company, Marisol Rivera helps to keep the vaccination center spotless and dons costumes to help people smile and feel at ease.

Dressed as an angel, Marisol Rivera of Camden shows her wings to Romulo Gaitan of Mount Laurel while constantly sanitizing the waiting area at the Camden County Vaccination Center at Camden County College in Blackwood , NJ on March 11, 2021. When Marisol Rivera was a waitress at the Cherry Hill Diner she would occasionally dress up in costumes to entertain her customers-until COVID-19. When some co-workers became ill she said “ I need to live-I’ve got grandkids” and quit her job as a waitress. Now with her new “I love it here” job, with Pritchard Industries, she helps to keep the Camden County Vaccination Center at Camden County College spotless while continuing her craft of making people smile and feel at ease after they get their COVID-19 vaccination.

Dressed as an angel, Marisol Rivera of Camden shows her wings to Romulo Gaitan of Mount Laurel while constantly sanitizing the waiting area at the Camden County Vaccination Center at Camden County College, in Blackwood, N.J. When Rivera was a waitress at the Cherry Hill Diner, she would occasionally dress up in costumes to entertain her customers — until COVID-19 struck. When some coworkers became ill, she said, “I need to live — I’ve got grandkids” and quit her job as a waitress. Now, with her new “I love it here” job with Pritchard Industries, an industrial cleaning company, she helps to keep the vaccination center spotless and wears fun costumes to help people smile and feel at ease during the vaccination process.
