He’s celebrating life by cleaning the streets

Grateful to be beating cancer, he wants to give back to the world.

Yeho Bostick (center) with friends Jedd Buller (left) and Maribeth Heinsinger during the street cleanup that he organized April 10 on the 600 block of North Hutton Street in West Philly. Bostick, a Philly musician, recently underwent surgery to save his leg from bone cancer. To strengthen his stride, he took regular walks around his neighborhood and was upset to see how littered the Hutton Street block had become. He launched the clean-up day as a way to show appreciation to the world for his new lease on life. Buller and Heinsinger joined him for the day, which was organized by city sanitation worker Terrill Haigler — a.k.a. Ya Fav Trashman —with support from City Councilwoman Jamie Gauthier and State Rep. Amen Brown.
