Man hospitalized after police-involved shooting
A man was hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday night after a police-involved shooting in Southwest Philadelphia, authorities said. The confrontation occurred about 10 p.m. at 51st Street and Willows Avenue, near Baltimore Avenue, in the Cedar Park neighborhood. Officers fired at the man, whose name was not available, and he was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, authorities said.
