A man was subdued by police with a Taser and arrested Wednesday night in Center City after he allegedly fired a gun near two bars that refused to let him inside, police said.

Shortly before 10 p.m., the man reportedly was denied entry into the Vango Skybar and Lounge at 116 S. 18th St. because he was carrying a gun, police said. After he was denied entry into a second bar, The Raven Lounge at 1718 Sansom St., he fired the gun at the front of the building where The Raven Lounge is located. Gunfire also struck the neighboring Suga restaurant. Nearby police responded and deployed a Taser to stop him and then took him into custody.

There were no reports of anyone being hit by gunfire or otherwise getting hurt.
