Itβs a big week for Wawa and Wawa fans as the locally rooted convenience chain rolls out a new element of its partnership with the Philadelphia Phillies β a sweet treat that βtastes like the tears of our rivals,β Inquirer columnist Stephanie Farr says.
On Monday, the beloved store introduced the limited-edition Phanatic Caramel Curveball Cream Smoothie, a vanilla ice cream-based drink thatβs βsweet, salty, and delicious,β according to Farr.
As part of the rollout, mascot Wally Goose will throw the first pitch at tomorrowβs Phillies game.
The new sip, in a limited-edition cup featuring the Phanaticβs eyes and the tip of his snout, comes just a couple of months after Wawa became the teamβs official hoagie sponsor and has begun upping its presence at Citizens Bank Park.
Hereβs what to know about the new smoothie and the brandsβ growing partnership.
