Late week, Kyle Boell, a Philadelphia man who investigators say self-identified as a Proud Boy, was arrested on harassment charges. He allegedly sent harassing messages to Gwen Snyder, a West Philly community organizer who researches and exposes members of far-right organizations. According to The Inquirer, threats from right-wing figures against Snyder, her family, and even her pets have gone on for years, including a July 2019 late-night visit to her home when she wasn’t there. She said she reported the incident to the Philadelphia Police Department. No one was charged.

As CBS reported: “It looks like it began after a group of self-proclaimed Proud Boys marched down South Street in Philadelphia, and then afterwards, this particular individual, Kyle Boell, directed his anger towards the victim in the case,” said Assistant District Attorney Andrew Wellbrock. “The actions alleged here are abusive, vile and dangerous,” First Assistant District Attorney Judge Carolyn Temin said, per WHYY.

The Proud Boys have described themselves as “western chauvinists” who “refuse to apologize for creating the modern world” and are considered a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

As a civilized society, one thing we should never tolerate is hate. In these divisive times, it’s become even more important for us all to act with tolerance, respect, civility, and kindness. This will make help make America great again.
