Phillies-Diamondbacks Game 2: Start time, channel, how to watch and stream MLB playoffs
The Phillies turn to Aaron Nola as they look to go up 2-0 against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
After holding on to defeat the Diamondbacks Monday, the Phillies look to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven National League Championship Series Tuesday on TBS.
Aaron Nola (2-0, 1.42 ERA) will take the mound for the Phillies. With his future in Philly uncertain, Nola delivered a gem in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves, allowing just two earned runs across 5⅔ innings while striking out a career-high nine batters.
Nola will become a free agent when the season ends, but told reporters Monday he hopes to remain with the Phillies.
“I love it here; it’s the only place I’ve been,” Nola said. “To be on a team like we are now, it’s really cool and special to see — and to be a part of all the success and failures to get where we are now.”
Facing off against Nola will be righty Merrill Kelly (1-0, 0.00 ERA), who had 12 wins and a 3.80 ERA for the Diamondbacks this year. He only faced the Phillies once this season — he had a no-decision in a 4-3 loss on June 14, giving up three earned runs over six innings while recording seven strikeouts.

Kelly has just one start so far this postseason, allowing no runs and just three hits in 6⅓ innings in the Diamondbacks’ Game 1 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLDS.
Here’s everything you need to know to watch Game 2 of the Phillies-Diamondbacks NLCS:
What channel is Phillies-Diamondbacks on?
Game 2 of Phillies-Diamondbacks is scheduled to begin at 8:07 p.m. Eastern on TBS.
Calling the game will be play-by-play announcer Brian Anderson and analysts Jeff Francoeur and Ron Darling. Matt Winer will report from both Citizens Bank Park and Chase Field in Phoenix.
Anderson is one of the best broadcasters in baseball, and showed his chops Monday during Bryce Harper’s first-inning home run. With fans at Citizens Bank Park in a frenzy, Anderson remained quiet and let the sounds of the ballpark do all the talking.
Phillies fans can also tune into 94.1 WIP-FM, where longtime Phillies announcer Scott Franzke will call the game alongside Larry Andersen. They’ll be joined by Kevin Stocker and Tom McCarthy, the TV voice of the Phillies on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Franzke had a great call on Kyle Schwarber’s leadoff home run in Game 1, which he blasted off the first pitch of the game.
You can either tune into WIP’s broadcast on the radio or stream it for free on the Audacy app.
Bill Kulik and Oscar Budejen will call Phillies-Diamondbacks in Spanish on La Unika 1680 AM. A Spanish broadcast of the game will air on MLB Network, with Fernando Álvarez on play-by-play alongside analyst Carlos Peña.
Where can I stream Phillies-Diamondbacks?
Phillies-Diamondbacks will stream on the Max app, but you would need a subscription to both Max ($9.99 a month with ads) and the B/R Sports Add-On ($9.99 a month), though they are running a promo.
You also can stream the series on the TBS app, but you’ll need to log in with a cable subscription.
The games also will stream on any so-called skinny bundle that carries TBS, including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and DirecTV Stream. Most offer a free trial.
You won’t be able to watch if you’re a Fubo subscriber, since the subscription service doesn’t carry Warner Bros. Discovery’s channels.
Pregame options include TBS, NBC Sports Philadelphia, and WIP
On Tuesday, Phillies Pregame Live will air at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports Philadelphia+, featuring Michael Barkann, Ricky Bottalico, Ben Davis, and former Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. They’ll return for Phillies Postgame Live following the game.
TBS has its own pregame coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. Hosting the network’s studio coverage is veteran broadcaster Ernie Johnson, best known for his role on Inside the NBA. Joining him will be former Phillies star Jimmy Rollins, Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez, and three-time All-Star Curtis Granderson.
WIP will also offer pre- and postgame coverage, hosted by Gregg Murphy.
