The weather made the decision easy for anyone choosing between watching the Phillies and Flyers on Wednesday night.

Because of updated weather forecasts, Wednesday’s Phillies-Giants game was postponed and will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Thursday.

Game 1 will begin at 12:35 p.m. and Game 2 will start at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday. All tickets from Wednesday’s game will be valid for Game 2, and gates will open at 4:35 p.m., pending completion of Game 1.

The Phillies are searching for their first series victory since taking two of three from the Rockies on April 3-5. They won the series opener against San Francisco on Tuesday, 7-0, in Don Mattingly’s debut as Phillies interim manager.

Cristopher Sánchez will start Game 1 of the doubleheader against Giants right-hander Logan Webb. The Phillies’ Game 2 starter has not yet been announced.
