6 happy hour deals in Manayunk

Center City, Northern Liberties, and other surrounding neighborhoods always get the spotlight when it comes to bars with great weekly drink deals. Well, happy hours exist in other Philadelphia neighborhoods, and Manayunk is one of them. Here are eight places to enjoy some brews with your crew.

Dawson Street Pub (100 Dawson St.) Named after the street it’s located on, this local spot quite possibly has the best happy hour in town. From 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday, slurp down half-priced drafts, which include an excellent craft selection, and munch on half-off select appetizers.

Pitchers Pub (4326 Main St.) If local dives catch your eyes, or drink cravings — Pitchers Pub is your go-to for happy hour. On Monday through Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., sip on $3 drafts. Weekly specials are offered here, too. Fridays aren’t forgotten here either; the bar offers a bang-for-your buck deal from 1 to 8 p.m. that features $3 drafts, Three Olive mixed drinks, and half-priced wings.

Bayou Bar & Grill (4245 Main St.) If you’re into a happy hour that changes daily— head to the Bayou Bar & Grill. Every day features a different drink and food special varying from crab deals to you-call-it-drinks. On Fridays, the spot offers a “Beat the Clock” Happy Hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with $1 drinks, and then $2 drinks from 7 to 9 p.m.

Taqueria Feliz (4410 Main St.) Celebrate the end of the workday at this hip Mexican joint with $3 select draft beers, $3 Pacifico bottles, $5.50 house margaritas, $4 wine, and $2 specialty cocktails. In addition to the sips, you can spice up your evening with a $5 food menu featuring nachos, chorizos, pork carnitas, and fish tacos. The deal is offered Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Manayunk Brewing Company (4120 Main St.) If you want craft beer brewed right near you, this local favorite is a perfect choice for your next happy hour gathering. From Monday through Friday, enjoy $1 off the beers, including your occasional seasonal pick. If it’s nice out — here’s a plus — take your brews to the outdoor patio and catch a sweet view of the Schuylkill River.

J.D. McGillicuddy’s (1100 Cotton St.) If the inner jock in you comes out while drinking, this sports pub is the perfect choice. From Monday through Friday, the bar offers half-priced drafts, bottles, mixed drinks, and even starters to help with your food cravings. If the two hours aren’t enough, the pub offers daily deals on pitchers, pizzas, and more.
