"Mayoral Survivor" Recap

We asked readers to vote off a candidate a day, and thousands of votes were cast. Here's a round-by-round recap.

The challenge started Monday afternoon with all five mayoral candidates - Bob Brady, Dwight Evans, Chaka Fattah, Tom Knox and Michael Nutter - on the island. Fattah was voted off with 2,931 votes cast:

  1. Fattah - 1,024 votes | 34.9%

  2. Brady - 990 votes | 33.8%

  3. Knox - 475 votes | 16.2%

  4. Evans - 278 votes | 9.5%

  5. Nutter - 164 votes | 5.6%

Brady survived a tussle with Fattah in Round One, but was eliminated in the very next round as nearly half of the 2,656 votes cast targeted him for dismissal.

  1. Brady - 1279 votes | 48.2%

  2. Evans - 563 votes | 21.2%

  3. Knox - 547 votes | 20.6%

  4. Nutter - 267 votes | 10.1%

Evans and Knox went around a few times, but ultimately Evans, who received less votes than Knox in Round One, was sent packing, with nearly half of the 2,528 votes cast

  1. Evans - 1,180 votes | 46.7%

  2. Knox - 1,046 votes | 41.4%

  3. Nutter - 302 votes | 11.9%

With 3,653 votes cast, readers voted off Tom Knox, leaving Michael Nutter as the winner of "Mayoral Survival."

  1. Knox - 2,423 votes | 66.3%

  2. Nutter - 1,230 votes | 33.7%
