City Hall falcons rearing another brood

The peregine falcon pair that has nested on a ledge of the tower at City Hall since 2010 are parents again.

The prodigious peregrines are tending to four chicks, or eyases.

These photos were taken from the nearby office of attorney Don Perelman, who also is a Pennsylvania Game Commission volunteer.

The pair have had an average of four chicks each year. Last year they had five, but one died.

The new chicks will be tagged later this month.
