Wanted: Job applicants

A series of free workshops will be held for county residents who are unemployed or under employed.

Registration has started for a series of free workshops at four Chester County locations to aid the county's unemployed and underemployed in obtaining and retaining jobs.

The four-hour "12 Steps Toward Employment" presentations will kick off with a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 10 in the Exton Mall Community Room. It will be repeated from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., June 16 at the Phoenixville Public Library; from 12:15 to 4:15 p.m., June 23, at PA CareerLink-Chester County, Coatesville; and 5  to 9 p.m. June 29, at the Bayard Taylor Library in Kennett Square.

Casey Jones, the presenter, said the workshops focus on many often-missed steps in undertaking a successful job search. Reservations and an enrollment form for limited seats can be obtained from Jones at bps461@msn.com or  (610) 707-1494. Additional information is available at www.chesco.org/JobSeekerToolkit.
