Chester Springs singer-songwriter Katelyn Krapf is looking for another chorus of support. The 18-year-old West Chester University freshman survived Round One of the Avon Voices competition, becoming one of 75  remaining in the contest, a showdown that began with 6,000 auditions.

Now, Krapf hopes to become one of 25 semi-finalists, a feat that would take her to Hollywood. There, she wiould have a chance to work with singers such as Fergie and Natasha Bedingfield. The only obstacle: an insufficient number of online voters.

The 2010 Downingtown High School East graduate says she's grateful for the support she's been shown, and it has whetted her appetite to continue her dream.

For anyone who wants to hear her voice live before casting a vote, she will be performing at Brandywine Hospital's Strawberry Festival Friday from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The ballot deadline is June 20.
