Activists Launch Letter Campaign Against LIbrary Closings
Community activist Marc Stier has hooked up with government watchdog website Hallwatch to launch a new effort to save the 11 libraries slated for closure.
Hallwatch has set up a fax bank on the site for library supporters to send letters to their city councilpeople. The site asks people to push their representatives to join a lawsuit against the closings.
So far there have 151 letters sent, according to a ticker on the website.
