Al Schmidt, who this year lost a Republican bid for City Controller, has taken on a new gig with the state GOP. Here's what Schmidt said about the job in a mass email:
"After taking time off and evaluating offers, I have decided to accept a position with the Republican Party of Pennsylvania as "senior advisor" in Philadelphia. This position allows me to remain politically involved and continue to contribute to strengthening our party at the local level."
Mark our words, we haven't heard the last of this guy...
