Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds-Brown said that rain or shine the women in this year's city council races will succeed.
"The unfortunate reality is the rain is not your friend," said Reynolds-Brown, who is running for re-election. "The hope is that we as candidates have done what we needed to energize our base."
"The women will prevail," she said referencing the hard to call 7th district race between freshman Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez and ward leader Danny Savage. "We role up our sleeves and do the grunt work because we have to just to be equal."
Brown also said she believes Cindy Bass will take the cake in the 8th district.
