With hopes of being reelected freshman Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez said she has been aggressive on phone banking to draw out committed voters.
Quinones-Sanchez stopped by Relish during the lunch-hour rush where many of the politicians there voiced their support for her.
"We're going after our committed voters and we're doing a good job," said Quinones-Sanchez adding that there are an estimated 10,000 voters in her district and she is hopeful she can pull the necessary 5,300 votes to win. She said ir also in rained May 2007, the year she was elected to office.
She later joked: "I'm kind of jealous of the other districts that have five or six candidates."
