As most of Philly knows, Mayor Nutter and rapper Jay Z today announced that the city will host a two-day Labor Day music festival.
Sponsored by Budweiser, the Made in America festival will feature more than 20 acts on three stages on the Ben Franklin Parkway. Jay Z, who will headline the event, today said 70 percent of the performers had been confirmed, but did not reveal any acts.
Nutter said he did have one request for the concert line-up.
"Jay Z is part of a quite dynamic couple. I think having Beyonce in Philadelphia would just be incredible," Nutter said.
