Man, 28, shot in the throat in Logan

A 28-year-old man was hospitalized with a wound to his throat after being shot on Dalkeith Street near Wayne Avenue in Logan early Friday morning, police said.

The man was shot at 1:06 a.m. Chief Inspector Scott Small said he was listed in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

Information on a suspect and the motive behind the shooting was not immediately available.

The victim was shot just three minutes after a 33-year-old man who was shot by police on 10th Street near Ontario in North Philadelphia was pronounced dead.
