Police are seeking suspects after someone gunned down a 22-year-old man in South Philadelphia early this morning.

Police are seeking suspects after someone gunned down a 22-year-old man in South Philadelphia early this morning.

The victim, whose name hasn't been released yet, was found near 5th and Washington streets just after 2 a.m., suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen and right thigh, police spokeswoman Officer Christine O'Brien said. He died at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital at 2:44 a.m. Police reported no suspects or motive.

UPDATE, 1:30 p.m.: Police have identified the victim as Karim Carter, 22, of Christian Street near Fourth. Still no word on motive or suspects.
