Police are seeking two teenage brothers accused of shooting two men on the El train in West Philadelphia Wednesday after an argument about which team - the Chicago Bulls or the Sixers - was better.
Matthew Early, 18, and Eric Early, 16, of 49th Street near Market, are wanted for aggravated assault in the 10:39 p.m. attack at the 46th and Market streets Septa station, police said. The victims, ages 30 and 36, got on the westbound train at 15th and Market streets. The argument erupted on board. When the train stopped and the brothers exited in West Philly, one teen brandished a handgun and fired once, hitting one victim in the left side of his stomach, police said. The same bullet passed through and hit the second victim in the left thigh. The brothers then casually sauntered away as frightened passengers scattered.
