Remote Possibilities: New 'New Girl,' new 'Mindy'
A few things to watch (or feed your DVR).
If you're not already committed to the competitions -- there's semi-celebrity diving as well as dancing, singing and cooking on network TV Tuesday -- you should consider looking in on "New Girl" (9 p.m., Fox 29).
Any show can put two of its main characters in bed together, as "New Girl" did last week, when Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) finally succumbed to the attraction that's been obvious for two seasons.
It's the morning after that's tricky.
Rob Reiner returns as Jess' dad, Bob Day, who'll make things even trickier in an episode that also features the always welcome Merritt Wever ("Nurse Jackie").
If you watch, be sure to stick around for "The Mindy Project" (9:30 p.m., Fox 29), where Bill Hader ("Saturday Night Live") returns as Mindy's ex, Tom, and her new boyfriend, Casey (Anders Holm) reveals a big decision.
