The Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Festival is back for a third year.
More than 25 local restaurants will offer dishes made with 1732 Meats bacon, all of which will be paired with beer samples from dozens of craft breweries.
The event takes place from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the 23rd Street Armory, and it's a 21-and-older event. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 14. (You can enter your email at the website to get a reminder that morning.)
In 2013, the first Philly event sold out in 30 seconds, and sister Bacon and Beer Festivals have sold out in Boston (6 years), Denver (3 years), Austin, San Francisco, and Oakland.
Last year, more than 800 people came out, and the event raised nearly $12,000 for local hunger nonprofit Manna.
Tickets cost the same as last year ($46.50; here) and include unlimited bacon and beer samples throughout the 2½-hour festival.
New this year is a VIP option: for $75, you can skip the line to get in and also score a swag bag with a Bacon and Beer t-shirt, a take-home pack of 1732 Meats bacon, and other goodies.
