Beer dinner to benefit Philippines

Chef/owner Alex Boonphaya of Circles Thai (812 N. Second St. in Northern Liberties) had planned a four-course beer dinner with brewers Tim Patton and Christina Burris of Kensington's Saint Benjamin Brewing Company.

And then the Philippines were blasted by Typhoon Haiyan.

Boonphaya is donating 100 percent of the proceeds of Thursday 11/14's $35-a-head feast (6 and 8 p.m.) to relief efforts.

Coconut Milk Soup paired with Liaison - Lavender Saison (5.5% ABV)

Papaya Salad paired with Transcontinental - California Steam Beer (5.5% ABV)

Roasted Half Muscovy Duck paired with Dubbel Galore - Belgian Abbey Dubbel (6.8% ABV)

Banana S'mores Spring Roll paired with Bielaya Vorona - Baltic Porter (6.6% ABV)
