Bud & Marilyn's opens for lunch

Among the dishes are Marilyn’s Fried Chicken in a Bucket (Bell & Evan’s half-chicken served with hand cut Kennebec fries, a side of cole slaw and house made hot sauce) and the smoked beet Rueben (Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, pickled carrot & jicama slaw served on a toasted marble rye).

Bud & Marilyn's - the retro-style American from Valerie Safran and Marcie Turney at 13th and Locust Streets - has added weekday lunch, noon to 3 p.m.

Among the dishes are Marilyn's Fried Chicken in a Bucket (Bell & Evan's half-chicken served with hand cut Kennebec fries, a side of cole slaw and house made hot sauce) and the smoked beet Rueben (Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, pickled carrot & jicama slaw served on a toasted marble rye).

Marilyn was Turney's grandmother, who with her husband, Bud, had a longtime restaurant in Wisconsin.

The restaurant just was given two bells by Craig LaBan. Review is here.
