Free beer returns to Wokworks

The stir-fry specialist does it right for those 21 and older.

Wednesdays mean free beer at Wokworks, Brennan Foxman's Asian-inspired stir-fry specialist at 1935 Chestnut St.

All summer, Wokworks doles out free beer to those 21 and over, as it discounts such dishes as seared sesame soy Brussels sprouts and steam edamame ($3 each); pork belly bun with pineapple salsa, or Taiwanese fried popcorn chicken with sweet and spicy sauce, or edamame/pork dumplings, or hot and fresh Chinese churro chips with maple syrup for $4; or sweet and spicy chicken wings, or spicy Sichuan noodles with wok-seared pork, or vegan fried rice ($5).

Sweet Pea ice cream will be there, too.

The Wednesday night special runs from 5 to 10.
