Fried chicken throwdown: 'Big Rube' Harley vs. Rouge chef Sam Noh
They're going for bragging rights.
Among his other pursuits, fashion trendsetter-turned-photographer Reuben "Big Rube" Harley makes delicious chicken and waffles. Lately, the place to get it is Toast, the cafe at 12th and Spruce Streets, where he hosts a monthly pop-up dinner.
Down the road, Harley is planning to open a Center City restaurant.
More immediately, he will throw down against Rouge executive chef Samuel Noh - who is no slouch in the chicken department - at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 at Rouge (205 S. 18th St.).
