Protein shake's secret ingredients: Crickets?!

Not that we're jumping to conclusions, but it appears that the April Fool's pranks have started already with Wayback Burgers.

Perhaps I'm jumping to conclusions, but it appears that the April Fool's pranks have started already:

Wayback Burgers' press people have announced, with a genuine-looking ad, that it's rolling out a high-protein milkshake with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and (get this) cricket powder.

The launch date is April 1.

The company says a 3.5-ounce serving of crickets contains nearly 50 grams of protein - double the load of beef.

In a statement, company president John Eucalitto said: "We understand that this milkshake is not for everyone, however, crickets are high in both calcium and protein – and their consumption is a growing trend among fitness enthusiasts."

Quizzed further about the "April 1" rollout date, a company spokesman suggested that I reach out on April 2, adding a smiley face.
