Jura wine dinner at Fine Palate

Wines from France's Jura region will be explored Dec. 7 at a dinner that will help Toys for Tots.

A few chefs are getting together to create a dinner celebrating the wines of France's Jura département on Dec. 7 at Fine Palate, the new bistro at 231 S. 15th St. (at Locust).

Vince Joseph and Steven Eckerd, who worked together at Le Be-Fin, dreamed up the idea with Anthony D'Emidio.

Justin Timsit, sommelier at Lacroix at the Rittenhouse Hotel, will walk patrons through the classical and nouveau pairings.

The dinner (7 p.m.) is $139 for five courses with hors d'oeuvres and cremant toast. A cut of proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots. Details/tickets, via 267-318-7971.
