Restaurants' charity: Luke's Lobster, California Tortilla, Pudge's

Restaurants are usually stepping up to the plate with fund-raisers.

Restaurants are usually stepping up to the plate with fund-raisers.

Here are some:

Luke's Lobster, whose Philly location is at 130 S. 17th St., hosts Make a Difference Monday. It will donate 10% of every Monday night's sales to a different charitable organization each month. On top of that, the New York-based chain will mentor, deliver and serve food, give cooking demonstrations, and more. See info here. September's charity is The Food Trust.

Pudge's, the Montgomery County sandwich shops (401 Fayette St., Conshohocken; 484-351-8029) and Blue Bell (Whitpain Shopping Center, 1510 Dekalb Pike; 610-277-1717), will offer a complimentary 'Merica Burger to all law enforcement, firefighters and EMS on Sept. 11; wear uniform or bring ID. Pudge's also will donate 10% of $9.11 for each 'Merica Burger sold throughout the month to the Tuesday's Children charity.

California Tortilla is teaming up with Share Our Strength to support Dine Out for No Kid Hungry! From now through Saturday, Sept. 13, California Tortilla will donate $1 for every "Fresh Deal" it sells: all customers need to do is upgrade their meal to a "Fresh Deal," which typically sells for just $2.99 and includes a drink and any side or dessert with their entrée. California Tortilla has worked with No Kid Hungry for several years in a row, donating over $100,000 since their partnership began.
