More gyms, more low-fat foods, more diets than ever...

Then why is the industrialized world fatter than ever, with staggering numbers of diabetic kids?

Fed Up, a new documentary, lays the blame at the food industry and posits that exercise does not work at getting people thin.

Garrett Snider and Sharon Pinkenson, with the Vetri Foundation for Children, will screen the doc at the Kimmel Center on the evening of Wednesday, April 30.

The film - from executive producers Katie Couric and Laurie David, and directed by Stephanie Schoetig - premieres in theaters May 9.

The 7 p.m. screening will be followed by a cocktail party.
